Dune: Awakening launches on consoles with single-player and a complete Book One

Funcom releases the PS5 and Xbox editions alongside a major update that lets players explore Arrakis alone and avoid PvP entirely.

Un ornitóptero sobrevuela el desierto de Arrakis en Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening has been available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S since September 22, 2026. The console launch arrives alongside a free update for every platform, including PC, and its addition to Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere.

The headline feature is a complete single-player mode with three difficulty presets and individual controls for storms, harvesting, experience, durability and construction. Every activity and reward is available through PvE, allowing players to avoid combat against other users entirely.

The Great Convention Part III concludes Book One, making the full story playable from beginning to end. Funcom has also expanded Arrakis with new locations, Testing Stations, contracts and dynamic encounters, plus specializations for combat, exploration, crafting and sabotage.

Combat updates improve parrying, stamina and enemy AI, while the Landsraad now uses mission-based progression designed for both groups and solo players. LanzaBit has marked the game as released and corrected its platforms to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
