Gamescom 2026 has begun in Cologne with Opening Night Live, its opening showcase held on August 25. The broadcast combined world premieres with new trailers for previously announced projects and added several future releases to LanzaBit's calendar.
Ubisoft introduced Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Tactics, a single-player turn-based strategy campaign planned for 2027. HoYoverse opened the show with Nodus Fall, a new dark-fantasy co-op action game that does not yet have confirmed platforms or a release date.
Tides of Annihilation, Game of Thrones: War for Westeros and Metro 2039 also appeared. The first is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC without a date; the Westeros strategy game targets early 2027 on PC; and the new Metro entry retains its February 2027 window for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
CD PROJEKT RED also began presenting Songs of the Past, a new full expansion for The Witcher 3 planned for 2027. LanzaBit's calendar and game pages now keep confirmed dates separate from broader release windows so an announcement without a specific day is never shown as final.
