Onimusha: Way of the Sword has been available since September 4, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. Capcom brings its main action series back with a new adventure starring Miyamoto Musashi.
The story takes the samurai to an Edo-period Kyoto twisted by clouds of Malice. The Oni Gauntlet lets him absorb Genma souls and harness their power against supernatural creatures as he searches for his own reason to fight.
Combat is built around blocking, deflecting projectiles and landing Issen counterattacks. Musashi uses actor Toshiro Mifune's likeness, while Capcom's RE Engine renders the historical environments, bloody duels and dark fantasy.
LanzaBit's game page is now marked as released and includes the European date, every confirmed platform, the official trailer, high-resolution images and a direct Capcom source. The demo remains available for players who want to try the combat before buying.
