The September 3 State of Play has locked in three of 2027's biggest releases. Square Enix will launch Final Fantasy VII Revelation on April 8 for PlayStation 5, accompanied by an extended look at the Highwind, the FITS combat system and the return of Queen's Blood.
4A Games will release Metro 2039 on February 4, 2027, in most territories. The new gameplay introduces the Stranger, confirms a single-player campaign and shows the console version for the first time, with ray tracing and a 60fps Performance Mode on PS5 and PS5 Pro. It arrives February 5 in some Asian and Oceanian territories.
Until Dawn 2 launches January 28, 2027, exclusively on PS5. Firesprite and AdHoc Studio take the Dead True ghost-hunting crew from Blackwood Sanitorium to Akishima Island, where player choices decide which of its eight members survives.
